The awesome Shrives Road, Narre Warren Early Learning Center!

More than 1000 square meters of Dynamic Steel Frame goodness. Mass reduction of Structural Steel (as normal) and a rocket paced erection.

Enjoy our video, and et us know if there is something more you’d like us to show!

Shrives Road Early Learning Center was a very interesting project with some fun and unique aspects. The client wanted to have some external steel overhang and become a feature.

We love everything steel so we attached these securely and seamlessly to the light weight frame.

Have a look at the below image to see what it looks like!

The Morwell GovHub Façade Installation

Dynamic Steel Frame collaborated flawlessly with Industry Cladding & Roofing to create this landmark award-winning building. Morwell GovHub.

We created 14 modules each weighing four tonnes. Measuring at 14.5 metres high, 8 metres wide and 2.4 meters deep. Clad in BlueScope COLORBOND® matte black and a timber look panel, with 2.2 kilometres of steel used. This makes them the largest light gauge steel façade modules in the world.

These were produced in our factory, assembled on site, and then craned onto the building. Without the accuracy steel can provide this could not have run so smoothly.

Utilizing TRUECORE® Steel, COLORBOND® Steel and UniCote we perfectly captured Castlerock Property and WMK Architecture’s vision.

In conjunction with Industry Cladding & Roofing, we have been awarded an Australian Steel Institute (ASI) Steel 2020 Victorian Steel Excellence Award.

Thank you to everyone involved. It took dedication, skill and blue collar know how to achieve these results.

It was a pleasure for Dynamic Steel Frame to work on this all-Australian project, where all parties were able to excel and achieve excellence.

Timber or steel roof trusses – which is right for me?

All structures must have adequate roof support, and while rafters used to be the standard choice for most residential buildings, roof trusses are increasing in popularity.

Roof trusses are incredibly strong and quick to install, and effectively transmit all the weight to the building’s exterior walls, relieving load bearing from the interior walls. Whether you are constructing a residential or commercial building, it is important to select the right roof trusses for your project.

To help you make the choice between timber and steel roof trusses, we have prepared a simple guide.

Timber trusses

Wooden trusses are generally cheaper than steel trusses, however they don’t last as long.

Timber is a natural material, it cannot stand up to the elements as well as steel. Timber trusses may warp and bow over time, which can cause structural damage to the rest of the building.

Wood is also susceptible to rot and insect infestations.

Timber trusses are also more likely than steel to be damaged in wild weather conditions.

Despite these risks, many opt for timber frames because they seem more economical.

Steel trusses

Steel roof trusses are usually more expensive than wooden trusses, but you can expect them to last a lot longer.

Chemical treatments aren’t needed to maintain the frame and insect infestations aren’t a risk.

They are also lightweight, making them easier and quicker to transport and install.

What’s more, steel frames can be recycled easily. Steel is a good choice for the environmentally conscious home or business owner.

Although steel frame roof trusses require more skill to install, an experienced team should be able to fit your steel trusses quickly and efficiently.
